Author Guidelines

Are you ready to submit your manuscript to the Asian Journal of Computer Science & Technology (AJCST)? Please carefully review the following author guidelines to ensure your paper meets all submission requirements. Adhering to these standards will streamline the editorial process and increase the likelihood of acceptance.


βœ… Submission Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript, confirm that the following criteria are met:

  • All manuscript and supplementary material files are included.

  • Full names and affiliations of all authors are listed.

  • One author is designated as the corresponding author.

  • The manuscript title is clear, concise, and within 20 words.

  • The abstract is under 300 words and can stand alone without citations or abbreviations.

  • The manuscript includes essential sections (order may vary): Title, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Figure Captions, and Tables.

  • Spelling and grammar have been thoroughly checked.

  • All in-text citations match the reference list, and vice versa.

  • Artwork files are high-resolution and correctly sized.

  • Permissions for any copyrighted materials have been obtained.

  • Appropriate keywords and subject areas are selected.

  • All required declarations and disclosures are included.


πŸ“„ Manuscript Types Accepted

AJCST accepts a broad range of submissions across all research disciplines, including:

  • Original research articles (positive or negative results)

  • New methodologies or tools

  • Dataset descriptions and analyses

  • Systematic and scoping reviews

  • Selected literature reviews

Note: AJCST does not consider case reports, opinion pieces, or pre-submission inquiries.


🌐 Language Requirements

Manuscripts must be written in fluent English (either American or British Englishβ€”do not mix both). We recommend using a professional editing service if needed, as full copyediting is not provided prior to publication.


πŸ“© Cover Letter (Optional)

Although not mandatory, authors may submit a cover letter to:

  • Suggest or exclude specific reviewers/editors

  • Share any special notes for the editorial team


πŸ“ Manuscript Formatting and Structure

AJCST maintains flexible formatting but expects a logically structured manuscript, including:

  • Title

  • Abstract

  • Introduction

  • Materials and Methods

  • Results

  • Discussion and/or Conclusion

  • Figures and Tables (with captions)

  • Supplementary materials (if applicable)

Additional file guidelines:

  • File size limit per file: 150MB

  • Total size for all submissions: 700MB

  • Use a single-column format

  • Avoid complex formatting


πŸ”– Title and Abstract

  • Title: Clear, concise, and discoverable in search engines.

  • Abstract: Summarize the objective, methodology, key findings, and major conclusions. Avoid references or abbreviations.


πŸ‘₯ Author Details and Abbreviations

  • Include full affiliation and contact details for all authors before final acceptance.

  • Define all abbreviations at first mention in the text.


πŸ”¬ Section-Wise Guidelines

  • Introduction: Provide background and clearly define research objectives.

  • Theory/Calculation: Expand upon the theoretical basis where applicable.

  • Results: Present findings clearly and concisely.

  • Discussion: Interpret the significance of results. A combined Results and Discussion section is acceptable.

  • Conclusion (optional): Summarize key takeaways or implications.

  • Materials and Methods: Include sufficient detail for reproducibility. Cite previously published methods.

  • Acknowledgements: Include after the main text, before the references.


πŸ“š References and Citations

  • References may follow any consistent style at submission.

  • Preferably include DOIs for better discoverability.

  • Required details: Author(s), publication title, journal/book name, volume, year, pages, DOI.

In-Text Citation Guidelines:

  • All citations must match the reference list.

  • Do not include unpublished results, personal communication, or non-peer-reviewed sources (e.g., arXiv) in the reference list.

  • References marked "in press" must be supported by the acceptance letter or proof.

Citing Web Sources:

  • Include the full URL and date of access.

  • Add additional info (author, title, source) when available.

Citing Datasets:

  • Format: Author(s), dataset title, repository, version, year, and persistent identifier (e.g., DOI).

  • Prefix with β€œ[dataset]” for clarity during processing.


πŸ“ˆ Figures, Tables, and Equations

  • Figure Captions: Add at the end of the manuscript. Must be self-explanatory and define all symbols/abbreviations.

  • Tables: Submit as editable text using a single grid or tab-separated format. Number tables consecutively and include notes below.

  • Mathematical Equations: Submit equations in editable format, not as images. Use exp() for exponential terms and / for small fractions. Italicize variables and number equations if cited.
